This is an Excellent adventure story ! David Gemmell is as good as any of the adventure or fantasy writers including Tolkien, Robin Hobb and Robert E. Howard(Conan's original writer); all of whom I love.
Druss , a mighty warrior has learned to love. With his beautiful wife
Rowena he has given up the warrior ways and learned to live in peace.
One day while Druss is out in the forest, he returns home to find his wife kidnapped and his neighbors murdered.
So once again he picks up his mighty axe Snaga and go's out to get Rowena back.
He will travel to strange places, win empires , battle savage monsters, and enter the horrific lands of Black Magic and Demons.
The only outcome he was certain of was, he would have Victory or Death !
