I loved this story. People are turning up dead and Nikki - the new Captain, has to not only solve the case, but avoid plenty of landmines. One of the deaths is her psychologist and her records, among others, have been stolen. Some of the people dying are part of a splinter group trying to out a rich software mogul whose bad software is causing car accidents and he has a congressman on his side. Nikki finds out she's stepping on toes of other agencies and is in the middle of her fiancé's current Expose as he tries to get and 3rd Pulitzer. Add into the mix a bad cop, her fiancé's old girlfriend and a wedding on the horizon. Will recommend to my book club.
