The short stories in this book were probably written during the creation of the Black Jewels Trilogy and put in this separate volume due to editing. There are several key stories here that identify they took place at certain times:
-1) Weaver of Dreams - prior to start of the trilogy
-2) The Prince of Ebon Rih - after Heir of Shadows
-3) Zuulaman - story of Saetan's past/early marriage to Hekatah - read after book 1 of trilogy
-4) Kaeleer's Heart - after Queen of Darkness
This should be read prior to "Tangled Web" and other independent books after the trilogy.
If you are lucky, you can read some of these short stories between the books in the trilogy with this info. Excellent reading - you will be very glad you picked up this book! Happy reading!

I love this author. Dont read this unless you've read The Black Jewels Trilogy. My favorite of the four stories in this book was the second, and the fourth.

I really enjoyed this book. The background stories were interesting. My favorite was how Lucivar and Marian got together. Highly recommended for those who enjoy the realms of the Blood.
I think is one of the first, if not the first time I have re-read this book - and it certainly is the only collection of short stories that I have heartily enjoyed! And though I didn't read it in one sitting as I did the first time I read it, it certainly has made me VERY excited to read her brand new book.
