This was such a fun book to read! The main character is a Christian single woman, but the book is a great read for anyone!! I've read so much "intense" fiction, that I needed a break and this was so fun to read!!

I loved this book. The main character is a hoot and I loved the pop culture references. She reminded me of one of my best friends)and myself at some points). Fun, easy read.

I don't read much in the chick-lit or christian fiction genres but I read Miss Invisible by this author a few years ago and really liked the humor and overall story so thought I'd give this and the sequel a try.
Overall I like Phoebe(the main character)though sometimes she seems to have her head in the clouds when it comes to reality. She's a big classic movie buff - the more romantic the better - and has dreams her prince charming will come and sweep her off her feet(or as much as they can in a christian based no-sex book!) There's humor here and LOTS of talk about old movies(which just inspired me to pull out the vhs tapes and acquire more! LOVED the discussions of old movies probably best outta the whole entire book esp the list at the end!) Anyways...bit by bit her friends are finding 'their soul mate' while she remains single. the one guy who catches her eye and can hold his own against her in trivia turns out to be they guy who axes her job when his family buys out the paper she works for - bye bye dream job and bye bye boring job! However, what bugged me most here is that she blames the guy for costing her her job when it was just downsizing and she was one of the latest hires..nothing personal yet she takes it that way. She mopes then finds a couple odd-ball jobs that don't work out then everything is tossed aside when she has to return home (which she dreads cause her mom can be challenging!)and take care of things since her mom has 2 broken arms. She has to work to fit back in at home and meets new friends, makes a couple of dumb IMO business moves..buy hey that's life and overall she remains likable and funny and talking about old movies! I'm only rating it 4 stars because parts seemed to drag a bit here and there but this is definitely an author I feel I can depend on for a decent story, humor, and not in-your-face preaching!

It was a really cute book. It didn't absolutely blow me away but I enjoyed it and I'd recommend it for a light, fun read. It's clean and cute.

Exactly what I was looking for - fun chick-lit with a positive message!
This book is on the predictable side, but it's so much fun getting to the ending that you barely notice. The movie trivia is great, the characters are memorable, realistic and funny and the Christian themes aren't too preachy. I really enjoyed it!

Kind of slow at first but a great read over all!
I was not overly impressed with Pheobe or this book. I didn't find her likeable at all and in some places she came across like a shrew. The storyline was rather predictable. Overall it was a quick read for me and a good way to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon in February.
