This book is a mixture of fairy tales of old Russia and it is written so it feels like a fairy tale of old Russia. You really love all the characters, whether it be sweet Lisette or Baba Yaga the witch.

This was a quick, easy read. Based on old Russian folktales, this is the story of a small peasant town trying to escape the horrors of the blood prince. The villagers must find a way to stop him, before they become his next target. I found this story interesting. I'd like to read more about the folktales that inspired this story.

Easy read, likeable characters; If you like fairy tales, then check out this book.
