When Marcus explained that her father was his friend, the Clifton York had an urgent need for his eldest daughter, and that there might not be much time left for him, Laurel was forced to decision. The trip down the florida keys set the stage for all that awaited her in Key West's Old Town- intrigue that involved a sunken treasure, mopdern piracy, and a burgeoning new love. Clifton York left his wife and daughter when Laurel was a small child. She hs fed her anger by reading his books and following his career, keeping old pain alive. Now a fried of her father's tells her he has an urgent need for his eldest daughter and there might not be much time left for him. Very good book.
