I liked Dream Country. It's a pretty intense and emotional rollercoaster ride that hinges on some fairly unique plot points and takes some interesting side roads along the way

This was a really good read.
I really enjoyed this book, from beginning to end. I even cried at a few places it was so moving, and it's been a while since I've read a book good enough to cry over! Definitely worth the read. It's a lot about family, it's a lot about loving someone even though you're not with them, and it's a lot about growing up and the tough things that life throws at us. I'm not reposting this book just yet, because I know I'll read it again at least once, so I hope other members posted some so everyone can enjoy it!

Although the story had some twists, they were pretty much predictable, with not too many surprises. I'm not so sure about the correctness of the author's descriptions of ranch life, cattle breeding and Wyoming geography and wildlife. The ending was left open for a sequel, which I hope will be more true to life.

At 504 pages, I would classify this book as a modern-day family saga; definite summer reading for anyone who likes to read books about families. I give Dream Country by Luanne Rice an A! and look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

First book I've read by Luanne Rice and it was worth the read!
Another excellant book by Luann Rice. Reads fast, and hard to put down. About a family that splits up when the twin son goes missing when he's 3. At 16, the twin sister finds her self pregnant and trys to go live with the father. Guess who she meets up with to help her get to her father? Oops- you gonna have to read to find out!!

This was a really good read. I will definitely look for more books by this author. Good Western romance and mystery.
This is another of my favorite authors. I don't think I've read anything by her that I didn't like. Although all the stories have unhappy circumstances, somehow the characters overcome them and end up at least ok.

Daisy's daughter is pregnant and decides to go home to Wyoming where her dad lives and her twin brother disappeared at the age of 3. Along the way she meets a young man who helps her gets home. Daisy goes to Wyoming to be with James as they await for the arrival of Sage. I am not going to say anymore, just that you have to read it.

Rice takes her characters out of New England to the mountains of Wyoming for some of the action of this paperback. I enjoyed the love story as well.

I think this is one of Ms. Rice's best books yet. I loved the Wyoming setting and the characters Jake and Sage. The Indian folklore thrown in was an added treat. To be honest, I was getting a little tired of the Connecticut shoreline and this fresh setting renewed my love for her stories. I think this book would be perfect for a sequel! I love books that make me cry and and that renew my faith in the power of love and family. A fabulous story!

a great book in that it reminded me of a tragedy that happened a few years ago, when a small child was lost in the woods with out a trace. This book tells the tale of such a loss. and the heartache and joy of a couple who's lives are torn apart and mended again.

Dream Country is the best book I have read in quite a long time. Luanne Rice knows how to expertly draw you into the story and make you attach yourself to the characters as their emotions spill out onto the pages. You cannot help but become involved in their story. Some themes that struck me particularly were: sisterly love, love and devotion between horse and rider after many years absencd. amd the realities of life on a cattle ranch in the west.
