Wonderful addition to the Dragonlance series. The second book in the original trilogy that introduced the world's greatest, though highly unlikely, heroes. I was spellbound from the moment I picked up Dragon's of Autumn Twilight, and I didn't put this one down till it was finished.

PArt 2 of the series ... THe shadow of evil grows bigger ... Heroes will face test and lose friends ... War will shape will and tougher up them all ... all will face choice with incredible consequences for Krynn ,, Tas as usual will be the most unsung and yet the most critical ... Tanis will continue his uncertainty and cost a friend to lose his life ... Wonderful work by Weis and Hickman ...

This is a really good series. The characters are rich and intense. Their journey, long, arduous and dangerous. The possibility of them achieving their goal and saving the world...remote and miniscule. I particularly loved Tanis the half elf and Laurana the elf princess. Both are extremely brave and selfless. And then there is Flint, the drawf, who is adorable. And Tas the kender...if he doesn't bring a smile to your face you must be comatose. I could go on and on but in a nutshell, this is a book that'll take you to another world where you can immerse yourself in visions of all kinds of creatures, feel great depth of emotion and just have a terrific time.

I absolutely love this series. I feel connected to the characters, even the ones that aren't the most likeable.

Dragons of Autumn Twilight sets 'em up, and Dragons of Winter Night knocks 'em down. The second volume in Dragonlance's seminal trilogy stokes the action with a big ol' blast of dragon breath. The War of the Lance has begun in earnest, and the Companions--Tanis, Flint, the twins Raistlin and Sturm, Flint Fireforge, Goldmoon, et al.--find themselves separated across Ansalon. Everyone's figured out that Takhisis's dragon minions aren't just scary bedtime stories, and the desperate search for the Dragon Orbs and the mythical Dragonlance is on. Lots of great combat, some humor and romance sprinkled in, and more solid character development for this complex band (especially Tanis and Laurana). An excellent follow-up bookended by cliffhangers--check out Dragons of Spring Dawning to see what happens next. --Paul Hughes
