Koontz's current best-seller relates the story of two Southern California police detectives who track down a demonic serial killer with paranormal abilities. The work is well-suited to audio, and fans of Koontz should enjoy this exceptional production. Jay O. Sanders is simply superb. All characters (even Woofer, a dog who plays an important role) are fully voiced. One of the characterizations--the golem--is so strikingly different from Sanders's "normal" voice that it's difficult at first to recognize that it's still Sanders speaking. This is a long production, but the pace never flags, and Sanders is consistently excellent.

It was a slow read in a lot of places but it was good and cute and funny also.
It has nothing to do with dragons but it has a lot to say about fairy tales and the creatures in them. It was a very good book even if slow in places.

This was my first Koontz book. I like Stephen King and my friend recommended this author. I'm so glad because he's really good.
This book is missing Dust Jacket.
A very interesting book that deals with the supernatural.
This book was a great read. It has the best bad guy I've seen from Koontz.
Interesting read by Koontz
I loved this book. The story was very true to the author's style without being too closely modeled after his other works. I felt I had a good understanding of the characters. I hated the villain, I felt bad for the victims (but not so much that I felt like I couldn't relate to them) and I was pulling for the heroes all the way. I spent at least one sleepless night reading this book. Very suspenseful and a good read but not so scary that you'll be looking around the corner for Ticktock
I really enjoyed this book. I loved the "eyeview" of the dog character.
I read this book in high school and it has remained one of my favorite Koontz novels to date.
another great Koontz hit:) Dont miss this one~!
wonderfully weird, but Koontz usually is! and it has a great ending.
Different - but I enjoyed it.
Awesome!! Could not put it down; I loved this book!
Good book, took a while for me to get into it.
The most ambitious of Dean Koontz's books, irresistible.
Harry Lyon was a rational man, a cop who refused to let his job harden his soul. His partner urged him to surrender to the chaos of life. But Harry believed in order and reason. Then one fateful day, he was forced to shoot a man-and a homeless stranger with bloodshot eyes uttered the haunting words that challenged Harry Lyon's sanity...."Ticktock, ticktock. You'll be dead in sixteen hours...Dead by dawn....Dead by dawn....Dead by dawn...."
I thoroughly enjoy Dean Koontz and will pick up anything he writes and found this story to be compelling and a page-turner.

This was a pretty good book. I got it right when it came out in paperback as I am a huge Dean Koontz fan. However, I just moved in to a new apartment and well, my book collection had to be cut down. So take it off my hands and enjoy!
