Except well that the USA seems to be the bad guys in the psychological study of submariners pirating oil from the "Old World". Rabid with the technical details of nuclear submarine operation, this potboiler ties in espionage and murder to the basic scenario. This, or course, makes it about as easy to read as a 19th century seafaring tale of Cooper, Forester, or Marryat.
