A Fire Dragon is summoned out of dragonspace by a dangerous mage is instead drawn to an unsuspecting dragon master and his destined mate.

This is the third book in the dragon series by Allyson James. I found it to be enjoyable but not as good as the first two books.

I love the setting of this series - San Francisco's Chinatown, it's people and their beliefs or lack thereof, is a very integral part of the story line. This another series where order is very important...

In Dragon Heat, the heroine finds the guest room in the apartment she inherited from her grandmother contains a 'door' to the world of dragons. Not to mention the TV-watching golden dragon...

The Black Dragon brings back Malcolm and Saba, both introduced in the first book. Who knew dragons would need a good programmer?

It's pretty tough being a Dragon Master when you have no training, no interest and no belief in either magic or dragons...

Dragon series:
#1 Dragon Heat
#2 Black Dragon
#3 The Dragon Master

This is the third book in a series about dragon shapeshifters. The concept of this series is interesting, but James has really limited her world building, it hasn't expanded much beyond the main character couples of the books. It doesn't give the reader much of a chance to say "oh - I can't wait for so-and-so's story". This romance was not as good as Malcolm and Saba's, which I think is the best so far, and Carol and Seth are not as likeable as Caleb and Lisa, but it's still very readable. It is a good overall series and I will keep reading.

A good read - sequel to Dragon Heat and Black Dragon. Try to read this series in order as characters from previous books appear as subcharacters in subsequent books.

Not real complicated, but a cut above fluff. An easy read that was enjoyable.
