Very good book and great beginning for the series. Tom Kirk is a highly skilled jewel thief who is hanging up his tools for good. Archie, his contact, has just one more job that must be done if they both are to live. Tom thinks Archie is overstating the matter. In Washington, D.C. at FBI headquarters, Jennifer Browne is given a second chance to prove herself and she has been tasked to find the Double Eagles (gold $20 pieces). A series of events just drop all kinds of clues to Jennifer and her superiors are convinced that the theft of the gold coins from Fort Knox was engineered by Tom Kirk. All the events in the book come together so well and there are lots of surprises for the reader. I will definitely read the rest of the series. My only minus is that the book is pretty graphic in describing the violence so I would skim that. :)
