A slightly slapstick take on urban fantasy. Think of a heroine who mixes the Queen Betsy vampire by Mary Janice Davidson, Evanovitch's Stephanie Plum bounty hunter, and off-the-wall cat-sitter sleuth Alice Nestleton. Nuff said!
I enjoyed this book so much more than the first one. DISAPPEARING NIGHTLY was good, but this one was great. Esther is waiting tables as she waits for her next big role. She becomes entangled with mob members as they are being killed off in mysterious ways. Love Max in this book and keep crossing my fingers for Lopez and Esther.
