Fun little book that begins a series featuring Dog Man! The heroes are the chief policeman and Dog Man, of course. They fight a gangster cat, an evil mayor and others who wish to rule the city. It's a fun read and the beginning of a pretty good series.
My 5yo nephew is in love with this series. He is just learning to read and this is above his reading level but he is still in love. The book tells the story of a police man and his police dog who are involved in a bomb explosion and the medics place the dogs head on the police mans body so both can live. Dog man then fights evil cats like Petey. Trust me the book and story is not gruesome. Don't use your adult imagination for the story use a small child's who is writing and drawing his own comic book. Small boys love this series. My other nephew who is 9 is also in love with this series.
