This book is an excellent read, not only for people who have been officially diagnosed with ARDS (adhesion related disorder), or who highly suspect their medical issues are due to adhesions, but for anyone with an undiagnosed condition who feel they are being given the runaround with lame, vague labels for their symptoms such as IBS and depression, for example. Karen Steward does a brilliant job of illustrating how broken and often unsympathetic our current medical system really is, and the hostility, resistance and insults encountered from physicians who cannot tolerate an educated patient who asks too many questions or doubts a given diagnosis.
