A doctor who has a hobby investigating crimes. A young Native American girl dies shortly before her wedding day. It is marked a suicide but the doctor doesn't think it is suicide and sets about proving she was murdered. A first novel for this author and very good story and characters.

Interesting mystery and a good read. Won the 1997 St. Martin's Press Malice Domestic Award for "Best First Traditional Mystery." Highly recommend, especially if you like Agatha Christie.

This charming cozy is set in Philly with a cardiologist who makes house calls and who gets additional income from his side job as a investigator. The secondary characters are colorful. An enjoyable read.
