I tried really hard to get into this book but it hardly moved along. I loved the premise and the idea of the novel as well as the setting, but it seemed like it took Braver ten pages to describe just one thing Sarah did. I couldn't get into that reporter's character either, who's inner monologue also seemed quite lengthy at the beginning. I wanted to keep up with the book but I just couldn't bring myself to keep picking it up because each time I did it would put me to sleep.
This book does not fit the genre of Science Fiction!!! Set over the course of one week in 1906, Divine Sarah reimagines the life of the legendary Sarah Bernhardt.
