I love this series especially when the season and my reading calendar coincide. Only problem this time was time had passed since I last read Bk 4 and I had trouble keeping the characters straight -- lots of characters. Fun book.

5 STAR BOOK all the way! This book was written so elegantly I didn't want to skip a word. No word is wasted, every word means something, every description of a place, people or thing is so awesome, so well said. You learn each person perfectly, each place so beautifully decorated, you can see everything in your mind. I loved this, and this was my first book in the series but this is book 5. However it is just fine as a stand alone. I have just gotten 2 others from members here on PBS and cant wait to read them. I must start from the beginning and read each one in the series. It is so worth it. Krista Davis is such an awesome writer, bravo to her. This book is perfect for Halloween, spooky, a cozy spooky if there is such a thing. I could not put this book down.

This was the first book in the series that I'd read but I found I could enjoy it as a stand-a-alone. There are so many characters that I occasionally got confused but there is a list of characters in the front which helped. The Halloween story was fun and I loved the Halloween decorating ideas. Reading about all the cooking the main character does made me want to try out some new recipes and stop eating out so much.
