I have enjoyed the Song of Acadia series and although I missed the 3rd book, it didn't take away anything from The Distant Beacon. I highly recommend.

This is an excellent story and gift copy. Nicole meets with her birthparents and grandfather in Novia Scotia. She has been named a countess in Massachusetts and while her friend Captain Gordon, ten men and she journey there and find that her home has been destroyed and she finds the Revolutionary Way has destroyed everything there. She is betrayed by a man that she once loved her and he takes her father's name to slander it. Captain Gordon and his men are imprisoned twice and Nicole and God save them.If cost Nichole all she has to rescue Captain Gordon and his men. Captain Gordon finds God and Nicole decides to marry him. This story is full of action, adventure and intrigue .I could not put it down.
