This book is about a beast that has a spell on him, because when he was a prince he was really selfish. The only thing that would break the spell is if he learned to love, and someone loved him. He started to fall in love with a girl named Belle. When she went away he was sad, and did not fight when the village people attacked. He was too weak without Belle. They ended up breaking the spell, and the teapot and everything turned back to there normal selves.
