I absolutely loved this book; it was fascinating reading about fascinating people. The text was written for a general audience. Boorstin was the Librarian of Congress, so he knows his stuff.

I haven't been able to put it down since i received it. I highly recommend anyone who is looking for a leisure read to pick up this book.
I remember thinking this was one of the better books I'd ever read when I first read it 30+ years ago. Now I can't remember what it was about. Lots of books like this have been written since.
