I selected this book because it was written by the same authors who wrote "First Break All the Rules," which is a wonderful book about how the best managers actually manage counter to management theory.
This particular book was an interesting read, but the important section on how to actually determine what your strengths are is on a separate website only usable with a code (one use per book) on the book's related website.
Without that information, the book is interesting, but not as helpful or informative as "First Break All the Rules."

How do your gifts affect how you work and live? You may be surprised at what your strengths are.
From finding your own strengths to achieving a strong life. Uses its own pertinent, unique system for you to figure it all out and then use it.
In the vein of positive psychology, Strengths is not too shabby of a read. It is entertaining and not a slog-through read. You have to buy the book to get the ID number for the online test, otherwise, you'll have to guess your top five strengths.
A good management series book
interesting observations
My impression of the book-excellent!
This book was extremely readable! I did not actually take the StrengthFinder test, since the free code had already been used, but even without that I found a lot of useful information. This would have been even better for someone who is a manager. The main idea is that so often we focus on fixing problems instead of improving what we are good at. For example, rather than promoting health, we fix disease. There was a lot of research quoted to show that by focusing on your (or your employees') strength, weaknesses can be worked around. Also, there is more potential for improvement in an area where you have a natural talent than an area where there is a weakness. This was fascinating, and the book was well-written so that I just kept reading!
The code inside can only be used once.
