This was better than the cover might suggest. Story of a woman caught between a duke and his noble land bailiff.
The story was good and fairly well written. My complaint is mostly that I didn't like the heroine very much and I thought things could have moved along faster. The ending was predictable and went on for about three chapters.
That the hero was a virgin seems like it should have been more central to the romantic tension. While it was certainly an element, he never "felt" like a virgin in his interaction with the heroine. Further he subsequently kissed and made love like an expert.
Not a very sensual tale, there are a couple love scenes but more the type where they fall to bed in once sentence and it's the following morning in the next sentence.

An impoverished Lady tries to pay off her late husband's gambling debts by getting engaged to a rich Lord, but falls in love with his bailiff. What should she do--marry for money or for her heart? Since both men hide tragedy in their pasts, it's not an easy decision.
I liked it very much.
