GOOD LIGHT HEARTED MYSTERY.
A Peter Bartholomew Mystery where there's a storm on the horizon...and death in the air.
I enjoy Sally Gunning's books.
Sarah Abrew insists she shot Webster Sutton with his own gun to protect a young girl "Web" was trying to molest. But somehow the story doesn't fit together as she tells it. Pete and Connie Bartholomew, newly remarried, return from their honeymoon to try to figure out the mystery--and save 88-year-old Sarah from jail!
Pete and Connie Bartholomew are making a second go at marriage and they are determined to make it work. A murder in a small town makes that decision complicated when it brings a truth no one in town wants to hear.

Dirty Water is the first book I'v read by Sally Gunning. The "detectives" in the story are Pete and Connie Bartholomew, owners of an Odd-Job business. In this installment, they are compelled to help an elderly friend, who has confessed to murder. The facts don't add up, however and soon they are embroiled in a decades-old mystery. I loved this book and will look for more by her.
A terrific murder mystery with an unusual suspect- an 88 year-old woman!
