I was eagerly anticipating this book and ended up let down. The plot that is there is good, but the author gets "bogged down" in unnecessary details. During the first couple of chapters I was so confused and lost! It ended up all coming together and was somewhat suspenseful, but it was predictable. I had to make myself finish it - I kept hoping for more, that it would turn itself around and be really great. When I was done, I felt unsatisfied, not because of loose ends, but it just wasn't that enjoyable. I know this is the first book in a new series and I would read the second one to see if its any better, but that would be it. The characters were likable, but I was disappointed in how the story was written. It had the potential to be a great story, but it fell short.

Really loved it till the last two or three chapters. The end just felt blah compared to the rest of the book.
