I bought this book as a cute addition to a baby shower gift and then decided not to give it because once I read it, it made me sad about mothers in America. Although there were a few cute and funny stories, too many were about how the moms needed to drink, take vicodin or stay at work late to deal with their children (and husbands). Just not in line with my viewpoints on marriage and motherhood at all.

A very (VERY) quick read. It's similar to the PostSecret books, but without the great artwork, and all of the secrets are mom-centered. Personally, I wish I'd saved my credits for something else and just read truemomconfessions.com or the PostSecret blog.

I literally read this in 10 minutes while watching tv. It made me laugh but I wish I wouldn't have wasted a credit.

More of a quick "quote book" than actual interesting reading.

This book was a waste of time. I read the whole thing cover to cover in fifteen minutes. There is one quote per page...All the quotes could have been put on one page and the book would be one page long and save a bunch of trees. And half of the "dirty little secrets", I think the parent SHOULD feel guilty for...like "My child threw up and so I gave her some Tylenol and sent her to school anyway because I didn't have a back-up baby-sitter" and "I lied and said my child was potty-trained so he would get into the day-care I wanted and then acted "surprised" when he had an accident every day." Stupid book.
