Read by the Author. I love hearing about how other cultures interact. The author reads about sucessful 20 something chicano women who all went to Boston University. It is told from each characters point of view, kindof like Little Earthquakes is. I really enjoyed this. Good Author.

Great story about a friendship between 6 very different women. The author does a great job reading her book.

For a white Midwestern woman this book was informative about the differences between the different sectors of the Latin American culture. Author read her own book and sometimes I had problems following which character was speaking. But overall the message in this book: The sisterhood of close female friends crosses all cultures -when you have a group of friends like that they always have your back.

I own the book, but found time to listen to it instead. I love this book, and the author did a nice job of changing her voice for the characters. All the stories lines were so varied about each woman, and it made it work well as the stories were woven together. I think that can be hard to pull off in a novel. You have 6 women all Latina, but from various Latina backgrounds, but all sisters from the same College who can find some common ground together. I would listen to this story again and again. The characters really have stuck with me, which one has which issue etc. Reading it might even be great and give you a different pace for the story.
