The library is thousands of years old, it's ongoing mission to amass tons of information from around the universe. The code says it must obey the government. But how will it survive a government that is out to destroy it with military force? And how will it survive a cost-cutting government bent on draining all the financial resources from the library until it is as good as destroyed?
