I mainly write reviews so that other here who know can get an honest review to decide if this book is worth reading.

I see that this book was made into an AMC series. While I was in the middle of the book, I thought, I wonder if they would make this into a movie. Well, yep they did.

You have your basic Main character= MC. Plum is her name and she weighs over 300 pounds. I do not think the actor playing this character really weighed that much, I think close to 200 pounds.

So Plum is a ghost writer for an advice column for a fashion magazine. She writes for KITTY, for Daisy Chain. Plum just answers emails and replies. Nothing actually shows up in the magazine. She works from home or the CAFE and seldom ever goes to the office. Plum is sure it is because she is so overweight and an embarrassment to the staff.

Plum is waiting for her weight loss surgery, and her life is interrupted by a woman in tights and combat boots. Plum starts a new journey that gets pretty hairy and mean.

A group of women in a home called Calliope HOUSE, and starts to examine a few things in her life.

There is another subplot about a vigilante group called JENNIFER. They begin to abduct and kill men who are out on bail for rape and murder, and justice has not be served.
They are also abducting men in media who have pretty much objectified women. Men in the porn industry, or Media moguls.

At first I wanted to put the book down by about page 96. I was expecting some chic lit. You wont be getting Chic LIT. It is a very feminist book, that does have some valid points.

I think the thing I liked the most was when MEN in the UK started to feel uncomfortable and vulnerable and objectified. The way most women feel daily.

I think some of the material might be too graphic for some readers. I made it through the rough parts.

I would say make past page 110 before you give up.
