This is one of the best "first in a series" novels I have read in a long time. The story moves right along and the introduction to the main characters is really good. I didn't figure out the killer at all until the very end. The main character is very likeable and believable! Recommend this for anyone who likes a good cozy book. I don't knit, but that doesn't make any difference, there is really not alot of technical stuff about yarn in it, especially compared to Maggie Sefton's series. Just excellent!

This entertaining mystery introduces us to Ariadne Evans, owner of a knitting shop in a small town in Rhode Island. When one of her cantankerous customers is found strangled to death in her shop, Ariadne gets involved in trying to find the murderer.

The characters in this story were well developed and believable. I'm definitely looking forward to the next story in this series.

This is a pretty fast moving mystery, with a yarn shop as the background. I enjoyed it enough to want to read the next book in the series.

First book in her new knitting series. Ariadne enter her knitting shop one morning to find the body of Edith Perry strangled behind the front counter. Ari knows that she should be more alarmed, but that's what you get for being the nasty person that Edith was. Unfortunately, there are too many suspects two of which are Diane and her husband Joe both of whom are close friends of Ari's. Enter Josh Pierce the new and quite cute police detective and you have an interesting who done it. Kruger does a great Christie-like job in throwing out numerous suspects and reasons only to have you say "oh, I should have known". Has you guessing until the very end. Looking forward to book #2 - Knit Fast, Die Young. http://tinyurl.com/yrwxjf

Cozy mystery with knitting theme. First of a series. When a body turns up in a small Rhode Island knit shop, there are plenty of suspects for the deed, but no one can understand the location or the weapon -- a skein of homespun yarn. I figured out the killer early on, but it was a fun ride.

A light, quick read. Good for when you have time to kill - doctor's office, waiting in the airport. Easy to follow plot with entertaining characters.

The first book in an excellent cozy series involving Ariadne Evans who is the proud owner of her very own knitting shop. She comes to work one day to find a customer strangled to death with homespun yarn. The list of suspects is long because it turns out not a lot of people liked the victim. Ariadne ends up trying to untangle the investigation because she is a suspect along with some of her friends. I would highly recommend this series. I am looking forward to the second book.
