This book had many twists and turns that were totally unexpected. The serial kiler was a lady who was a professionl with a degree, and no much as a speeding ticket on her criminal record. AS the almostn professional shopper, she found ways to spend like a milionare. What held my fascination the most about this book is that a great deal of intimate details of the killer made her real as if she was sitting right beside you; this ss something that is lacking in most true crime books.

Well written and interesting, this book kind of jerks back and forth. But it makes sense because the killer is one of those selfish, sociopathic, weird birds whose life has no continuity or underlying beliefs. She just does whatever makes her feel good at the moment. The book is derived mainly from the experiences of one detective who was not very seasoned - but was very thorough and faithful in identifying this person using the training he had available. It's surprising he could build such strong rapport with those he interviewed that someone close to her gave the killer up to him! I really loved the way the rhythm of the story matched the illogical, impulsive way the killer jumped out at her victims. A very good read I think.
