I really liked this one - (although I'm a fan of Iris Johansen a anyway.) I thought the characters were well developed, the plot satisfyingly twisted, and all within the realm of "could happen"....which always makes it more frightening to me.

This is my 2nd Johansen book and won't be my last! I thoroughly enjoyed this. It's very different from my usual taste for thriller novels, but it gripped me from start to finish! I really like her writing style as she doesn't overdo the descriptions of people/places etc... as some authors tend to do. She's short, sweet, and to the point which is what I like. This story line was great - Almost unnerving just because it "could" happen. Loved the characters. Bess is as stubborn as they come, but I love strong female roles. Kaldak was the right mix of tough guy and Mr. Sensitive...couldn't put this one down. Definite "must read" and I look forward to more from Iris Johansen!

Great fast moving and suspenseful. Read this book in two days it kept me eager to turn the next page and difficult to get anything accomplished in my day to day life till I finished the book
