The blurb on the back cover sounded liked this book would be awesome....and about 50% of it was. It is a very unique book for sure, but it was almost like two separate books (although the plots for both did overlap).

The mystery part of it was really great and original- buyers bidding on a rare white liger, that is then murdered. But why would any of them kill the liger? What a great premise! This part of the book I really enjoyed.

However, there is another whole storyline about the ghosts in the pet cemetery next door that I did not care for overall. I do like paranormal and the ghostly dog and cat that help the heroine out were cool. But after the liger is killed, this big war in the cemetery erupts between the Lion God and the Tiger Queen over which "Heaven" the liger should go to. And it took up LOTS of pages of arguing and demanding, etc. It was really just absurd. Had this storyline not been included, I think this book would have been great!
