Fascinating first person account of a poor young girl in the mid 1800's and how she survived, & finally found love.
There were quite a few times that I actually felt I was in the 1800's - the writing was that descriptive. Written as journal entries (diary),Cozette details her actions & feelings, and results, of daily life and important moments. I looooved it, even the detailed, boring parts.
This is NOT your Regency romance, but the nitty-gritty of the working classes.

Altough I stayed angry with the main character of this book for most of it, I loved it! Although I wish it would have went a little more into detail in the end, I was happy with the ending. I can't wait to read more from this author!

Interesting read... wanted to give up on it a few times, but had a good ending, even if a bit expected.
