Almost everyone has heard about outlaw biker women and there appears to be a great deal of interest in women who associate with outlaw bikers. While the rest of us might think outlaw bikers are frightening or repulsive, to these women outlaw bikers are desirable. These women hunger for men who are bad and dangerous. They are compelled to dance with the devil and sacrifice themselves accordingly. Strangely enough, no matter how much they are physically or psychologically abused there is absolutely no shortage of women who are willing to risk taking a ride on the wild side with an outlaw biker. The intrigue of association with an outlaw biker acts as a powerful magnet for many women. Consequently, an unlimited number of good-looking, even gorgeous, women are drawn to the bad boy image outlaw bikers embody, to the excitement of a hedonistic lifestyle, a life which seems as exciting as a roller coaster ride-fast motorcycles, macho men, drugs, alcohol, parties, guns, topless bars, the thrills of flaunting social norms, and any way you want it sex.

Devilz Dollz: The Secret World of Women in the Outlaw Biker Subculture is a unique book. This book fills in the gaps that have existed in the knowledge of outlaw biker women and provides one of the first anthologies of women in the outlaw biker subculture. Devilz Dollz provides a fascinating inside look at women who associate with outlaw bikers from a variety of different perspectives. This book brings together a diverse group of writers- academics, law enforcement officials, journalists, authors of popular literature, former and current outlaw bikers, and former and current female associates-who have written on women of the outlaw biker subculture. In this one-of-a-kind anthology, there are twentyeight first-hand accounts of the inside world of outlaw biker women, including classic works by former and current outlaw bikers, such as "Maz" Harris and Ralph "Sonny" Barger. There are rare accounts by outsiders who were accepted into the outlaw biker subculture, such as Hunter S. Thompson and Daniel Wolf. There are even rarer accounts written by former and current female associates, such as Glennis Dennehy and Amy Irene White. As a female researcher, Karen Katz also wrote an article on why women are attracted to outlaw bikers, which is included in this collection of readings.
