I loved the "prequel" to this book (which is actually a stand-alone) but this one wasn't nearly as good. The story starts off boringly with too much clogging-the-plot detail, and then a sex scene between the hero & heroine that's supposed to be magical but simply doesn't have any feeling. It goes downhill from there.
