Never thought I would feel sympathy for Sammy the Devil. This book is a wonderful example of good triumphing over evil. All the characters were extremely likeable no matter their specific foibles. A relationship forged on lies should be destined to failure, but it was good to see love as a possibility for Faith, Finn and Nathan to become a family. Very well written.

This is my first book from Ms Garey and I want to say "It was worth it!" Its a fast pace and easy to follow eventhough you didn't read any of Nicki Styx series. I can't wait to read the next one and hoping that Ms Garey will continue to write more exciting books.

I wasn't sure I would like Sammy Devine in his own book without Nicki Styx, but I was totally wrong. In his own skin as Samael, Prince of Darkness, he rocks. HIs offer to a single mom to save her dying child is perfect. His old agreement with a rock star is spot on. When he arranges for Faith and Finn to meet, the sparks fly. Very good read! Although reading the Nicki Styx series helps, it is not necessary to appreciate this book. 4 stars
