This book was definitely an interesting premise. As a psychiatric RN, I was definitely interested in reading this but I found it really stretched the imagination, so if you're looking to this book to give you information about mental illness, this isn't the book for you.
It starts out rather slowly and I almost put it down a few times wondering whether or not to go back to it. About 1/3 of the way in, it started to pick up so I kept reading. The thing that I believe is most important to take away from this book is that there really is evil in this world. I have always taken exception to people referring to evil people as "sick". "Sick" implies a possible cure. "Sick" lumps mentally ill people in with truly "evil" people - there is a big difference! I was glad I read this however I am only giving it 3 stars.
