Revel Tyson wouldnt rest until the outlaw who had killed her daddy was behind bars, and Jake Reno was the only man alive who could help her track the villian down. Some said Reno was a cold-blooded killer himself;others said he had been wronged his whole life. All Revel knew was that the desire glinting in Jakes green eyes was even more dangerous than he was. The beautiful pinkerton agent fought to keep her mind on busines, but during the long nights on the trail with the dangerously handsome desperado she found herself dreaming of yielding to his illicit kisses and losing herself in his lawless passion.
A little on the corny side, this is the story of a single minded heroine who becomes a Pinkerton agent to track down the outlaws involved in the cold blooded killing of her father. She saves one of the outlaws and uses him to bring the rest to justice.
Revel saves Jake's neck literally, but he doesn't seem to appreciate it overly much as he disappears on her and their deal. Revel is a resourceful woman out of deep need and ever so resourcefully finds him in a house of ...well, you know, and promptly shoots him. (Not too badly, but she admits she missed her aim!) And the story then takes us on a desert trek after a highly dangerous outlaw. On the way, we see both characters who are charmingly flawed, learn to rise to the best of themselves and bring out the best in each other. This book has charm, a good story, and the characters really click with each other, more than either wanted or planned to. The scenes together have sparks flying.
