This is a new author for me, it was a suggestion based on previous wish list items. And I couldn't put it down! Don't let the title or cover art turn you away. It is well written and the characters are very likable. I kinda figured out who the "bad guy" was half way thru, but i had no idea the full scope of the evil plot. There were some surprises in the end. The Feral Warriors are a "frat boy" kind of bunch, but are loyal and lovable. Kara and Lyon's story has quite a few close calls with death, for both of them, but their love saves them both along with their friends. Since there can only be one radiant at a time, i am curious how the other warriors stories will play out and who they will fall for. The warriors are still trying to stop the evil from escaping, but without the knife and the other half of Tighe's soul, the battle has only just begun...
Can't wait to read the rest of this series!

The Feral Warriors - Lyon, Tighe, Jag, Vhyper, Foxx, Hawke, Paenther, Wulfe and Kougar - are immortal shifters whose job it is to protect the Therians from the Daemons. Their powers are waning since their Radiant has died - a powerful female Therian who draws power from the earth of enable the Feral Warriors to shift into their animal forms in order to fight and kill the Daemons. The new Radiant, Kara MacAllister, has been raised human and knows nothing of the Therian's or the Daemons. She has a very hard time living with the nine warriors and adjusting to the constant danger and fighting, not to mention the rituals necessary for the ascension to the Radiant.
The romance is sweet yet heart-breaking. A lot of back story setup but the romance is never lost. A terrific start to the series. Nine warriors...nine books?????

A secret group of sexy alpha shape-shifters/warriors battle otherworldly creatures to keep the human world safe. This book starts the series with the groups leader, Lyon and introduces his mate (and key to the warriors powers). I really liked this book! Palmers writing is fast-paced and never has a dull moment in the book. She sets the story line up well for the next in the series. I haven't enjoyed a paranormal as much as JR Wards series until this. Palmer has a fresh take on the paranormal, without going silly like a few other authors. I have read the next two in the series (Obsession Untamed #2 and Passion Untamed #3) and they are just as good.

Enjoyed this book very much. Introduces us to a new world of paranormal, unlike the usual vampire, werewolf ect.

The characterization was a bit clunky. The characters weren't believable to me. I had a hard time empathizing with the traumatized heroine & her reactions to the supernatural world that are abruptly revealed to her by the predictably hunky but flat shapeshifter. I couldn't suspend my disbelief long enough to enjoy an otherwise novel new universe.

This was an awesome book to read,I got it in the mail yesterday and intended just to read just a little bit of it to see if I would like it.... I finished it today!I could not put it down.It has everything action and adventure, shape shifters and a very hot romance.Wow if only real life was that intense!I don't usually like romance novels. This is nothing like them. I recommend this book, you wont regret it.Can't wait to read the next one!

A read once. Mostly a relationship book with a little action thrown in. Much of the conflict in the storyline wouldn't have occurred if the hero wasn't busy 'protecting' the heroine by not telling her the unexpurgated truth - a combination of sexism AND racism [the heroine had been raised human and has no knowledge of their world] which really ticked me off.
There is a story set in the same world in Huntress.
Feral Warriors
1. Desire Untamed (2009)
2. Obsession Untamed (2009)
3. Passion Untamed (2009)
4. Rapture Untamed (2010)

Pretty good -- nothing to get overly wowed over or anything, but I enjoyed this book. It's definitely one you need to check your brain at the door for. There was a couple of things that while original, were bazaar enough make me roll my eyes a little. But it was certainly sexy, and it was fun to read.
Spoiler Alert....
This is my first book for this author, I have mixed feelings about it, I loved the plot and the warriors and I can't wait to read their stories, but integrating the sex as part of their rituals was a little cheesy for me, It felt forced on the story. And the Shaman ordering penetration to heal her was hilarious, like a bad movie!
But again the story line was very interesting and lots of actions and surprises.
I think I'll give her another try...

interesting read. not usually to my liking, but a good read none the less.
While I am aware I traded for a romance book, I wasn't really expecting one that had quite so much... romance. It was a bit much for me, I really was hoping for something with more plot and less physicality. It is decently well written, if a little confused at times.
Love shifters, this was a little over the top but still an enjoyable read.
Oh my! The Feral Warriors are scorching hot... still fanning myself. This was the first paranormal romance I picked up. I had NO idea! It sure did make it hard to get through tamer books later.
Oh... plot, writing, characters... yeah, there was all that too. Seriously though, these writers' imaginations never cease to amaze me. While the concept of hardened warrior meets soul mate is used widely, the fact that some authors can make it seem like a fresh idea, boggles the mind. Palmer does just that... makes it seem like something new.

I read this book in one night. i couldn't put it down. The story line had a few twists and turns, and a surprising end scene. I just requested the other two in the series. Hopefully they are just as good.
Even with my second time reading this book, I found myself routing for the main characters in this book. I can't wait for any other books from Pamela Palmer in this series.
OMG...OKAY... now this is my kind of book!!! finally I am satisfied, Sherrilyn Kenyon was the only one who could do it for me, til now, I will find the others in this series and I will keep them... this is one I will reread and love over and over!!!! I really hope that she is writing about all the ferals, but I know none will compare to Lyon!!!!...oh did I mention, I love this book???
I'm torn on my rating for this one, so I settled on the rating after I wrote this.
Kara was raised human. She is the Feral Warrior's Radiant, unbeknownst to her. Lyon (yes, that's his name and it is a literal name too) has "finding" ability and is the one tasked to hunt her down. So, he kidnaps her, from the only home she's known, and takes her to the Warriors home. This will come as a huge surprise: they are both hot for each other. I know, I was so surprised too!
Fun fact time! Lyon heals injuries........with his tongue. Here's a another fun fact: A lick magically heals.......and causes orgasms. At inappropriate times. Sometimes with an audience.
I didn't like how Lyon kidnapped Kara. He didn't tell her what she needed to know. Any choice was taken away from her. I didn't like the Pairing (it's capitalized in the book)- again choice taken away and put in the hands of something mystical (and therefore always right). Any power Kara had was taken away, she was treated as property.
There are (only) 2 other main (being generous) female characters in this book. One, Pink, is a servant who cooks and cleans for the 9 grown men. The other, who is nameless because I don't want to be too spoilery, existed for competition, to be a bitch, and was the (powerful) villain.
And what is up with the names? We are talking Kougar, Wulfe, Paenther, Tighe, Vhyper. Jag, Lyon, and Foxx aren't bad compared to these. (IMO). Then there is the Daemons and Satanan (evil ones).
Despite it all, I kept reading. I waffled between a 1 or 2 stars. So, this is 1.5*
The rest of this series? Hell nope!

So, he kidnaps her, from the only home she's known, and takes her to the Warriors home. Kyra has to learn to draw the power of earth and then give it to the warriors. To feed the warriors she needs to come to full power/ascended. Blood and sex is part of every ritual. To ascend a few drops, to release Satan a bucket full...hmmmmmm.... Kara is not being told what her full role is and so tries to flee. (I would too I someone kidnapped me). Her flight means death to the guardians as their power wains to zero. So they are all pist-of at her for trying to run away though not one explains fully what her being Radiant means in the big picture... as in no Radiant, no power for the guardians = dead guardians, loads of loose deamons, and eventual rise of the BIG BAD DEAMON Satan, that is imprisoned in a knife the guardians have in their protection, which is paramount to total destruction of earth, and most if not all humans. The only other female chatacter in the book is PINK a split soul flamengo shifter which acts as a servant/cook. Well she has the mid-shift body of a flamengo and doestn take well Kyras stunned reaction to her the morning after being kidnapped and having no idea there are things bumping in the night. And the slut girlfriend that sleeps with all the guardians on demand. A rival magician as it turns out, and the principal villain who steals shards of the guardians souls, creates duplicates out of deamons and butchers Kyra for buckets of blood to raise the Satan. Lucky for Kyra she survives, the Vilain gets killed, and Satan is not raised. All but one deamon guardian/copy is killed so all but one guardians get their soul shards back and are healed from being quarelsomne (or gone totally feral) spitballs of vengance. Though one of the guardians gets his soul sucked in by the evil knife/Satans prison, and steels the knife to try again. And the book is set for follow up stories.... The main romance is split into threesome, where Kyra must be matched to her ideal mate. Though the guy with sucked soul gone evil manages to change the selection and is marked as her mate though the Lyon is the one that should have been marked and has true conection to Kyra. They struggle with this conection till it is reconfirmed at the end of the book.
Kyra her self is petulant and more then a bit TSTL-H as in too stupid to live Heroine. Lyon is obstinent and suffers heavily of the Matcho-Hero Coplex. But over all this story comes nicely together. The H+H and the vilain with all the supporting characters are well fleshed out. The writig flows well. It is a nice introduction to new series. I would give the book 4* though it is not a keeper.
