Have you ever started a book that you just didn't want to end? Well, this one is for you then! In this gripping tale, Brannan Callahan is concerned when she hears reports of a blizzard and a helicopter in her area is at risk of being caught up in it. The worst part is, the helicopter has a heart to get transported back to the hospital in order to save the life of an eyewitness for a child sex trafficking ring. The adventures begin there and do not stop until the end...and I think we'll read more in the future!

This book has so many great elements about it. I loved the adventures of Brannan as a female park ranger who did SAR helicopter missions. I loved the whole story behind the heart and impending transplant (I'm a cardiac nurse!). I liked trying to figure out the mystery amongst all the characters involved. The story line with the small girls who were being brutalized made this book so much stronger. I was roped in from the prologue where we meet Rogue (love the name! So fitting) and his adventure as a US Marshall. There is also a bit of a love story in the book. So many beautiful elements that I promise you, you won't want to miss reading this. There are Scriptures quoted throughout the book as well, in case you'd like to know that up front.

I highly recommend this edge of your seat read. It goes fast but I wouldn't allow myself to finish it too terribly quickly! I thoroughly enjoyed this one!

This book completely grabbed my attention at the start. However, I am not a fan of romance story lines. This book runs the romance story line in conjunction with the VERY heavy theme/topic of child s%x trafficking. I was left with great distaste for the two story lines being worked simultaneously (not to mention that there was some overly sappy "warm fuzzies" reactions between Brannan and Rourke, the main characters. Ugh.

There were also some obviously weak areas of writing. For example, Brannan finds two of the children who were trafficked and it doesn't occur to her, at all, that they might be part of s%x trade, even when she hears their captor's names; names that she overheard the congressman mention when he spoke secretly on his cell phone in the hall. Not at all believable to the reader.

I feel this book had great potential, but was somewhat spoiled by the romance that was written into it.

I always get a thrill when I feel like I've stumbled upon a real gem in the vast collection of Christian fiction. With so many books available that I could spend my time reading, I always appreciate it when I come across one that I will recommend over and over again. Let me tell ya....Deliver Us From Evil was such a book. The suspense was top-notch, the action intense, and the romance.....oh, the romance (giddy smile) took my breath away.

I have to admit, though, that the beginning of the book was a little slow. I could sense that the heart-pounding action was within my grasp, but it took a little longer than I wanted for it to arrive. Once it did, it was all downhill from there. :o) I literally had to make myself put it down at midnight so I could get some sleep!

I have no doubt that I will be reading more of Robin's books in the future, including the rest of this series. There was a little teaser at the end that leads right into the next book in the series, Fear No Evil. Brannon's close friend, Lincoln, was one of my favorite characters in the book, and I'm anxious to see what will happen to him next.

So in case you're still wondering whether or not you should try Robin's books for yourself, let me end the suspense for you right now.... Yes!!! You should! You should go to the store right away and get a copy for yourself right now! :o) You'll have it read in no time flat, I promise you!

I really enjoyed this book except that I didn't care for some of the details she included (since it was a sex trafficking ring). The book in itself was amazing and how she tied everything together at the end was really neat.

I'm sure Ms. Caroll is a good writer but this is just another run of the mill 'human trafficing', lost in the mountains in the worst blizzard ever and falling in love, etc, etc, etc. It would be a quick easy read on a lazy day to pass the day but you won't be on the edge of your seat.

This book was EXCELLENT! I loved everything about this book. It's emotional, romantic, suspenseful and full of Christian beliefs. An awesome combination!

One of the things I liked about this book is, while I have heard nothing but awesome reviews on this book, it is by an author who is totally new to me. And, now that I have read Deliver Us From Evil, I will definitely be checking out more of the talented Robin Caroll's books! She has a talent to write a book that has the ability to leave you with a white knuckle grip on the book, turning page after page, flowing with the roller coaster twists and turns, to get to the end of the book for that long awaited reveal, all the while, showing us the wonderful mercy of God!

I'm not going to say that just one character tugged at me the most. I enjoyed all the characters(except the bad guys, of course!), from Roark to Brannon to Lincoln. They all had a magnificent part in Robin's heart wrenching story of child trafficking. Robin created this child trafficking story by pulling fact into the fiction. It's amazing how real this book seems. I think it would make a perfect movie(not all books turn out to be great movies but this one has the pontential). I think the only down side to this entire book is the ending.....Robin makes me wonder if this is the start of a series. And guess what? It is! The release of Fear No Evil is August 2010 and I absolutely CAN NOT wait until that time! I want to read more of these fantastic characters by this wonderful author!

All of those things said, I rate this book with 5 stars! There is no question abou it! FIVE STARS! When you read this book, you are sure to feel the same way!
