I was pleased with this story. I thought some of the stalker stuff was a little overkill but hey its smut what do you want?

Well written in the way that it drew me into the story and I wanted to see what happens on the way to HEA. The sex was better than vanilla and well written.

Not my favorite story by this author. Way too much drama between the two characters. I don't mind a little bit but it got annoying. I liked the setting of the story and Alyssa but just too much going on between the two. More romance less break ups would have been nice.

Erotic book with an actual plot, my kind of book. Really liked it. Plan on reading more from Shayla Black. Just the right amount of sex and romance to keep my interest. Book 2 in the series.

My first book by this author, and didn't realise it was a series. It grabbed and held my attention, read it straight through in a few hours. Conflict between the main characters became redundant and annoying. Obviously a formula pulp. Decently smutty without pornographic detail. It was good enough to seek more from this author, but only on a one night only, guilty secret level.

My review is similar to those before me. Way too much drama and an unbelievable past for the heroine. The whole book is them back and forth not trusting each other. Blah. Hoping the next one is better than this.

Oh, the draaamaaa! This book is written like a 13-year-old thinks life should be. The hero has - a big secret! And the heroine has a big secret too - but she is such a good-hearted stripper that she just has to be a good soul. But in reality, neither one trusts the other; they don't talk & work it out like adults - they just run away believing the worst of each other. The sturm & drang of this story would leave a normal person a neurotic mess, if not worse. Actually, I think I might need some therapy just to get over this book. NOT this author's best effort.

Disappointed. The first 2 books in this series were smoking hot with passion. This one fell short for me, it seemed to me that it was more focused on their emotional baggage. Not a bad thing, but not what I was looking forward to in this book. And it was certainly more tame than the previous two. And truthfully about half way through the book I started to skim the pages and only read the dialogue. It was a struggle for me to even finish this book, I was ready to put it down all together. I hope Hunter's story takes us back to the wickedly hot passion that I know Black can write.

I wanted to enjoy this book but I couldn't, I stopped around page 100. As with most of Shayla blacks book Luc is a dominant and highly sexual male. He is unable to have children so he attempts to find a woman who is a quiet, church goer to start a family with, while suppressing his "urges". Alyssa is a former stripper, owner of a strip club who had one night with Luc and is determined to have more. She spends the first half of the book acting like a trashy skank in an attempt to make Luc "get to know and love her" and not think of her as a whore, which he does. Ugh! I tried really, but I stopped when they decided to have one more night of passion before going their separate ways.

I have so far all of her previous books but this one was just bad.

Let me start out by saying that Shayla Black is one of my favorite authors. This book was just ok. I loved books 1 and 2 (Decadent and Wicked Ties). There was just too much stalker related stuff. It never seemed to end!

This book was about 100 pages too long. The story line dragged on and on and it seemed everyone was out to get this lady. The main characters doubted each other up til the last second and then just stopped doubting each other with very little reason. Just seemed like a huge buildup and then a sizzle. Love scenes were hot but I never felt the passion on the pages. Just seemed like words thrown together. Very disappointing after the first two in the series.

Let's be honest, we don't read these smutty stories to find the meaning of life. So for what it is - an erotic romance novel - this story is fine.

What I didn't like was all the drama over the heroine. It was one thing after another. She had such an unbelievable past even for a fictional character. She's the classic hooker with a heart of gold ala Pretty Woman. I thought all the threats to her life were incredibly overblown. The hero's dilemma could have been easily resolved with a second opinion. It was shocking that he didn't get one given how smart he seems to be in all other aspects of his life. If you want to read something sexy and interesting while checking your brain at the door, this book is for you.

I'm torn between which book is my favorite so far. Although I've only read the first three. I can't decide if Delicious is my favorite or Decadent.

This book continues the story of Luc Traverson. He's a man who seems to have it all. He has more money then he can spend, a number one cook book with a second on the way. A TV series in the works and so much more. Unfortunately the one thing he doesn't have he believes he'll never achieve. He's a man without a family. He has no child because a tragic illness left him sterile

Then comes Alyssa Devereaux. She's a former exotic dancer, now strip club owner, hopping to branch out and open a restaurant. After sleeping with Luc several weeks ago she's now cashing in on a promise, Luc is to be her head chef for opening week. It seems like the perfect plan except she never planed on falling hopelessly in love with Luc after there first night together. Things only worsen when she realizes she doesn't fit into what Luc perceives as his future plan. He's looking for a down to earth and simple woman who will be the perfect mother and not complain when he confesses that to have a child with him it may take a while and it may entail some procedures that do not include conceiving the old fashion way.

Alyssa is none of the things he believes to be the perfect mother. He knows nothing about her past or who she really is, all he knows is the present and the fact that she's an ex-stripper, whom just the sight of makes Luc wild with desire. His plan to ignore her for the week changes on the first day and from that moment on he's lost. You'd think things would be perfect, I mean come on, they both are ready to com-bust with desire at just the sight of one another. The problem is Luc can't seem to get his head out of his ass long enough to get to know her and see how wonderful she really is and just forget about his so called "ideal woman". He can't see that weather he wants to or not he's already hopelessly in love with her. He can't see that she's not what he believes is the stereotype. He can't seem to understand that he's the only one she's slept with in years and that what she feels for him is genuine. Convincing him is hard on her self-esteem, self-worth and self-preservation.

There are many twists and turns in this book that are a signature with Shayla Black's books. Just when you think they've got the bad guy....low and behold there's another one. With stalkers, crazy men and Alyssa's past and a few other things I wont spoil I just couldn't put this book down. This book hooked me within the first chapter and it kept me hooked until the end. There were times I just wanted to yell at the characters and say..."Hey just sit down and spill", or "why can't you just believe her, what has she done to create such doubt". I laughed, I cried, I had to turn on the air because it just got so dam intense that I felt like crawling up the wall. I loved this book and I can't wait to get the next few in this series. There on my list of must reads and I hope you all do to.
