I felt this book started off slow, but then it became really interesting. Everyone seems to have so many secrets and it keeps you wanting to read more and more to find out how everything will play out.
There are a lot of characters in this book and each you come to know a little about each one. I'm excited to read the other books in this series to know more about all the characters in this family.

I loved this book. The protagonists were great and I really enjoyed their relationship as well as the secondary characters....except for the grandmother. She was a little over the top and I hope they give an explanation of why she is the way she is in one of the upcoming books.

Book 1 of a series...she writes 'real' characters. I really enjoy reading them.

I actually really liked this book. Not just the story line and the romance, but I loved the characters as well. Susan Mallery did a great job of letting the reader get to know the characters, my favorite, was of course, Penny. And, Naomi. They were the two female chefs that ran the kitchen in the story, and they were a real inspiration to me because their job really touches home to me. Great book if you like to read a little romance mixed with the life of a Chef and food! I look forward to reading the other two of Mallery's Buchanan books.
This (audio) book was pretty good- it's Cal and Penny's story. HOWEVER, I do think that some parts were unnecessary, and you could really tell that the writer was setting up a series. I think that if I had not heard the audio this book would have received a 3, but since I did hear the audio, and got to hear the characters through the reader, I am giving it a 4. This is the first book in the series, and I will probably listen to the rest of the series. Brothers Walker and Reid and sister Dani get their own stories. Those who love reunited stories or second chances, this one will work for you!
"Delicious" is an addictive second chance at romance dramedy. Cal and Penny's story really captured me. I am a fan of second chances, and Cal and Penny satisfied my hunger for another try at happily ever after.

I seem to be the lone crank here, but I didn't find this book to be all that delicious. I appreciate the fact that many warned that it was light reading, I found it to be a bit too light.
Cal Buchanan needs a top-flight chef to take over his failing Seattle Restaurant, The Waterfront. He can afford to hire the best in town - the only problem is that the best happens to be his ex-wife, Penny Jackson. Is it true that too many cooks spoil the broth - or maybe two is enough to make it irresistable.

Beginning of a family series. Some of the usual components of when an ex-wife and ex-husband get together but well done, and feels good.

First book in Susan Mallery's new series "The Buchanan's". First up is Cal Buchanan looking for a top notch chef to work in his resturant "The Waterfront", the best is his ex-wife Penny Jackson. If you like Susan Mallery, you will definite love this book.
This is one of my favorite of Mallery's books. It's the first book in a new 4-book series featuring the Buchanans in Seattle, Wa. I found the Buchanan siblings to be well-developed and engaging and I can't wait for the rest of the series!
