This is the story of Ethan and Audra. Ethan is reluctant to marry Audra who has 2 small daughters. But once they get settled and begin to really know each other, Ethan decides he likes married life. But there is a mystery surrounding Audra who's late husband has hidden some stolen treasure. Now there are hired men out to find it no matter what. When they come after Audra, things turn nasty. Now Ethan and his brothers are also looking for the treasure so it can be turned over to the rightful owner. Looking forward to book 3 to see how this mystery ends.

I really wanted to like this book, but like book 1, this was not an improvement. The men did not talk or act like men to me. Example, they're tracking these guys that tried to burn down the ranch. As we know, during times of high threat, men are armed with the God-given ability to keep a one-track mind. But instead, they start talking about random things while tracking, they sounded like girls jumping from one topic to another. And with Ethan trying to "talk" through his fears with his wife again in a feminine way, and his wife, Audra's dealing with her so-called cowardis,to the point of not doing what she needed to do to be safe (which I would call being rational);, it was so unbelievable, I started skipping pages and rolling my eyes. Then after enduring book 1 and 2, they still haven't found Audra's husband's stolen money. Which means I HAVE To endure book 3 to get closure.

This book was awesome, Mary Connealy is one of the best Christian Fiction writers, I love everything I have ever read by her. I believe I liked book 3 better (I am reading them in reverse) but this book was really good, the love story was sweet, the characters loveable and leaves you with that good feeling when your done.

This book is an easy read book. A lot happens in this book with so many of the characters to keep my interest. I did not enjoy this book as much as the first book, but it was still an enjoyable book. There is a fair amount of "lust" in this story, which I felt could have been left out and the story would still be the same. The books do need to be read in the order they are written to get the whole story.

Loved, loved this book by Mary Connealy. In Too Deep is the story of Rafe Kincaid and his brave new wife, Audra. He has great fear and guilt he must overcome, and with Audra's love and help, he finally has a chance to be free. Excellent story and highly recommended!
