This was the first book I've read by Janelle Taylor but I couldn't put it down! I read it in 1 1/2 days. I will look for other books by her.

I thought this was a really good book. Single mom Jenny Holloway is moving to Santa Fe to start a restaurant without any help from her father and his millions. She has an ex-husband that she is hiding from as well. Enter Hunter Calgary and ex-cop who is hired by her father to look after her. He also has a connection to the ex-husband. Good story.

Single mother Jenny Holloway, refusing help from her wealthy father, is ready to move from Houston to Santa Fe and start a restaurant of her own. Unbeknownst to Jenny, her father has hired former police detective Hunter Calgary to keep an eye on her because her sadistic former husband, who doesn't know that Jenny's son is also his, is increasing his attempts to extort money from the family. Hunter has secrets, too, and he needs to make sure that Jenny never finds out that her father hired him or the real reason he accepted the position.
Jenny holloway is the main character, who is on the run from her ex husband, with her teenage kid. When she feels as someone is follwoing her, her father has hired a hunter to lok out for his daughter, because of the recent encounter with her ex. Fire sparks bwtn the two, n its just not about protecting her for the job. It takes on a a great suspense n romance winded together, a great read
