I enjoy Jayne Ann Krentz science fiction books when she writes as Jayne Castle. The dust bunnies are always fun to read, but in this story I feel like she didn't advance them, nor their planet any, it was kind of a boring story. I expected her to tell us WHY the main character was orphaned, but that never unfolded, even though the end of the book was about "unfolding" everything.
For me the real tell about how I feel about a book is if I', willing to swap it or keep it. I'm not interested in reading this book so it's a swapper, only worth 3 stars.

I always look forward to any novels about Rainshadow. The have a little bit of everything in them. Magic, romance, danger and all around good read.
I love this series but this one seemed a little weak. I still enjoyed it however.
