I really like the Owen Deathstalker character, as well as some of the supporting cast, but this book had some problems. It started off great. The focus was on Owen and Hazel on Mistworld. Then the story shifted to some sort of Heart of Darkness type, but on a distant planet run by toys with AI. That's pretty much what killed the book for me. But, I plowed through it and got to the next part about David Deathstalker and Kid Death which started slow but got a little better. The ending seemed like it was quickly thrown together to complete a trilogy. It was disappointing to see what started off so well, end so rushed.
