Once again, M.C. Beaton has written a great read about Hamish the Scottish Sheriff, there I believe it is called a Constable.
I don't want to give too much away but I will ask the question Will Hamish really be getting married? Who comes to the rescue??
Got to read the book to find out.
I read the book in a day, I just could not put it down.

As always, Hanish doesn't disappoint. The latest adventure almost brings him to the alter but he manages to escape.

The balance of the characters provide a wonderful background to the plot.

This Hamish McBeth book is still well-written (they all are) and the mystery in it is good. I guess I'm started to be depressed by some of the hopeless characters and the ongoing drama of all these women chasing after Hamish but he never wants to marry any of them (except maybe stuck-up Priscilla--can you tell I'm not a big fan of the upper classes?); who does the writer think this guy is anyway, George Clooney?! (Who I'm not a big fan of either.) Enough already with the confirmed bachelor line; it's boring when you hear it about Clooney and it's boring when you hear it about Hamish too.
