The Death of Napoleon Author:Simon Leys, Patricia Clancy (Translator) Napoleon has escaped St. Helena, but the impersonator he left in his place has unexpectedly passed away. Travelling incognito through the Continent, he experiences a series of bizarrre adventures that bring him face to face with the myth of Napoleon as it is disconcertingly played out in everyday life.
Humerous, but short (maybe that's the way it should be, he already escaped from exile once. The book needs fleshing out - its very short, and the description above just about covers every plot line.
