These books deserve better titles! Small-town southern life with all its characters, interactions and much humor - the mystery and its solution are only part of the fun. Enjoyable read.

Police officer Trudy Roundtree is determined to solve an old crime when the body of a young woman who had been engaged to a local turns up in a refrigerator after everyone believed that she had left her fiance and returned abruptly to her own town years before.
Small towns are not always as placid as they seem to outsiders. Trudy is a strong character. A good read.
